WHAT WE KNOW
Outriders is an upcoming role-playing third-person cover shooter
developed
by a Polish producer, People Can Fly
and published by Square Enix.
The game allows players to pick classes and create custom builds and embarking on
missions which a lot of cut scenes giving details to the story and branching
dialogue with NPCs (Non-Playable Characters). It can be played solo or with up
to three other players in co-op. This is really surprising because allowing 4
players to play on a 4 split-screen won’t make the game fun. There are rumors
that the game will be released in October
or December 2020. Other rumors also say that the game will launch around
the same time as the Playstation5 and Xbox X series.
GAMEPLAY
Outrider’s
gameplay with be similar to that of Anthem,
Doom and a little bit of Destiny. The game will have realistic
weapons like rifles and shotguns.
Gamers
have the ability to customize their character’s appearance because that now the most important part in a game (The
ability to create you in a game. Who doesn’t like that). Anyways, the player
can also be allowed to choose from four different classes to give more
abilities in addition to the weapons to the character.
The
Classes are:
· Trickster: Has the ability to manipulate time.
·
Pyromancer: Has the ability to manipulate
fire.
·
Devastator (the heavy hitter): Has
the ability to unleash seismic attacks. “Like I know what seismic means.”
·
The four-class hasn’t been released yet.
Players
can use different weapons such as shotguns and assault rifles to defeat
enemies, and these weapons can also be customized with weapon mods. Players can hide behind cover to shield themselves
from enemy attacks and regenerate health if the player manages to hurt or kill
enemies. As the gameplay progresses, the difficulty increases thus making the
game harder and harder.
Another
game feature seen in most games is the decision. In cut scenes, a dialogue tree
allows the player to decide the outcome of some conversations, but it does not affect the
story's progression.
This
game will be one of the next level games coming up.
